Cave City Watermelon Festival, August 7th, 8th, & 9th at Cave City Park. Fun for the whole family. Activities include Live Entertainment, Prize Drawings, Watermelon Judging, Watermelon Seed Spitting Contest, Parade, Annual Car Show, Queen Melon Beauty Pageant, free Watermelon Feast, and so much more.

The Babe Ruth Baseball Tournament will be held at Mountain Home, July 25th throught July 29th.

This week Mountain Home will host the 2008 Buckethead Bash. T-Buckets and other classic cars will participate in the following scheduled cruises: Wednesday, Blanchard Springs Caverns, Thursday, Bull Shoals, and Friday will be the annual Jim Sell Memorial Cruise, leaving the Baxter County Fairgrounds at 5:30 p.m., heading to Norfork and ending at Gassville’s City Park. Other activities include: The T-Bucket rodeo at the First Baptist Church parking lot on Friday morning, and a barbeque contest on Saturday at the Baxter County Fairgrounds, with gates opening to the public at noon. Judging will be at 5:00 p.m., and there will be music, games and vendors.
